Makayla Ngoun

Makayla’s career with ETD began as a teenager, conducting zoning research. Over time, she took on new roles, eventually securing a position as a researcher, which became the foundation of her learning and professional development. 

Under the mentorship of Tracey, Makayla mastered the complexities of permit expediting within the DMV area. She embraced the role for two years before mustering the courage to dive into the variance process, attending hearings and successfully securing approvals independently.

Currently, Makayla serves as a researcher while pursuing a degree in Software Development. Her long-term goal is to step inside the digital signage world, merging her experience in signage in ETD with technological advancements as a software developer. 

This year, Makayla’s hard work and dedication have earned her a prestigious honor- she has been selected as one of the Internation Sign Association (ISA) Elite for 2025. This program recognizes 35 young professionals each year who are making an impact in the sign, graphics, and visual communication industries. It fosters leadership and collaboration among emerging talents in the signage industry. 

Makayla’s journey is a testament of perseverance, ambition and continues learning.
